Yesterday, in my pyjama party article, I mentioned Catastrophe Cosmetic, the Lush mask that we applied on (along with the chocolate-y Cupcake). As Lush is one of my favorite brand and Catastrophe Cosmetic is one of my all-time favorite face mask… I wanted to share this discovery with you.
As every Lush mask, this product is fresh: it has been prepared a few days before I bought it and I will need to use it up in one month. It’s made with a lot of fresh ingredients so we have to keep in inside the fridge. Make sure to warn your family about it, it may seem yummy… but it’s not! The ingredients list is short: blueberries, calamine powder, talc, irishmoss gel, glycerine, almond oil, rose absolute, chamomile blue oil, sweet wild orange oil… Almost all of them are natural.
Catastrophe Cosmetic is supposed to calm the skin, to protect it, to sooth it, to moisture it. It is perfect for every skin type and I really enjoy it on my oily skin. I apply a medium layer on my face + neck (I avoid the eyes) and I wait for 10-15 minutes to let it work on my skin. Tips: do not let it dry out on you, it’s not good for your skin (the mask will try to take your own water to counterbalance the dryness).
Because it’s kept in the fridge, it’s very cool at first: I like it during spring / summer but I try not to buy this mask during winter because I will not like it that much when I am already cold. It makes my skin look and feel softer, more glowy too. It’s not a miraculous product, but it’s a pleasant one, and for £6.25 the 75g, I am happy.
