On Youtube, I have shared today a little bit about my skin type and my hair type. In case you didn’t read the page I wrote about it at the beginning of this blog, here are the informations you Continue reading
It’s funny, I was pretty sure that Clinique is a French brand… but I had a look to their Wikipedia page and realize my mistake. Never mind, today, we are going to talk about a Clinique clearing moisturizer especially made for oily and acne-prone skin, the Anti-blemish solutions clearing one.
That’s a little bit confusing, but we are talking about Lush Mask of Magnaminty today and this product is a cleanser as well as a facial mask (technically, it’s a scrub too).
How come? It contains kaolin that cleanse the skin (and remove sebum and everything. Small Continue reading
Having an oily skin, it’s having a lot of different types of blemishes. Spots are not the only defects, we suffer from dilated pores as well, and they tend to be very visible even with makeup on. Complexion primers are supposed to make them invisible… let’s talk about the Pore Perfecting Primer Potion from Urban Decay.
Urban Decay is one of my favorite makeup brand. I am in love with their eyeshadows, their eye pencils and their eyeshadow primers potions. I couldn’t resist: I had to try their complexion primer potion! As I said it earlier, this product is supposed to hide dilated pores, but also to make my foundation last longer on my oily skin. Indeed, oily skin produces sebum all day long and oil is the best to remove makeup…
This Pore Perfecting primer is very easy to use. It is delivered in a tube with a very thin end piece, so I do not waste any product every time I use it. I apply it after my skin care where my pores are the most visible. in the middle of my forehead, on my nose, on my cheeks, on my chin… The product disappears in the skin instantly and I can put my foundation on.
I did not expect my dilated pores to be cured, I really just wanted to hide them on a daily basis with this product. Unfortunately, let’s admit it, this silicone-based product does not bring any enhancement to the way my skin looks like. My pores are still visible.
I am satisfied with the long-lasting effect of this primer, but I can’t help but wondering if adding silicones on my oily skin is a good idea. Of course, they cannot enter in the pores (I have already my serum and my skin cream on), but they plug my pores, which will lead to bigger pores as the sebum will be not able to go out of them, and to spots in the end…
I love Urban Decay products, but I do not recommend you to purchase this one, which is available for £19 in Debenhams.
